I know, I know, everyone’s talking about the new Star Wars movie. But the line “may the sales force be with you” popped into my head and I can’t shake it out. I have a client couple interested in ranch patio homes, and one of the few options out there right now is Remington at Coal Creek Crossing in Superior. This is a brand new luxury patio home community with only 3 left of 53 lots. That means anyone interested in buying has to hurry, and has to have a good Realtor by their side…that means me! The brisk sales of this new community mean the forces have to be with us in terms of timing and competition for these sites.
It’s sheer fact that patio homes in Boulder County are moving fast, and this new community’s location will drive the light saber home quickly. It’s hard to determine whether call this unique area rural or suburban. On one side of the community it has Target (with an interior Starbucks for your caffeine fix), Panera, Costco, Whole Foods, plus a plethora of other shopping and restaurants within walking distance, but on the other side it has miles of Open Space, and just down the street is the quaint Old Superior neighborhood complete with a barn filled with nostalgia-inducing farm and vehicle relics. This area is a juxtaposition of old and new, unique versus template.
What’s not cookie-cutter is the layout of the patio homes. You have options including extra bedrooms if you need more sleeping space, a finished basement with a rec room as big as the Battleship Galactica, and an extended kitchen island if entertaining is your thing. These homes feature the ever-popular open floor plans, with the kitchen, dining nook, and great room flowing seamlessly into each other. Some floor plans include a mudroom just off the entryway, In my experience most everyone who sees a mudroom in a Colorado house instantly nods their head in appreciation. Mudrooms are fantastic for organizing all the jackets and footwear needed in our Front Range weather.
Speaking of Colorado weather, our climate’s highs and lows are considered by Remington Homes. They build these low-maintenance homes to achieve 5-star Energy Ratings. That will keep your energy bills in check from season to season.
While Coal Creek Crosssing’s not too far distance-wise from the competing Calmante development, the starting prices are lower. Plus, Coal Creek Crossing is tucked away from traffic and so close to amenities, it’s no wonder these lots have moved quickly. The median home listing price in Superior is $615,000, so these dwellings are right in line with the rest of what Superior has to offer.
If my clients decide Coal Creek Crossing is right for them to buy, that means three property availabilities becomes two. If you’d like to check out the patio homes, I’m happy to take you to the neighborhood for a look. But remember, we need to keep time and the sales force on our side, so we must act quickly.
