Dennis

Reaching from the top to the bottom of Cape Cod, Dennis is comprised of five distinct villages, 16 beaches, and two coastlines ready for relaxation and recreation.

The villages of Dennis include: Dennis Village at the northwest corner; East Dennis at the northeast side; South Dennis in the middle of the landmass; Dennis Port at the southeast edge; and West Dennis, which is interestingly south and only a portion west of South Dennis.

Welcoming you on the north side is Cape Cod Bay, with calmer waters thanks to the protection of eastern Cape Cod. Colonial mansions in the area are fun to view whether you're a fan of the architecture or dream of owning one. In the south, miles of beaches offer warm Nantucket Sound waters and picturesque views. Beaches that aren't to be missed are Corporation, Sea Street, and Mayflower. Want bragging rights? Tell friends that you've been to the highest point on Cape Cod after you visit the 30-foot-tall Scargo Tower tourist observatory atop Scargo Hill.

Activity opportunities abound. Hiking and biking trails include the 22 mile long Cape Code Rail Trail which extends north up the Cape. If you're more into spectating than participating, dive into Dennis' whaling history and go whale watching. The acclaimed Cape Playhouse is ready to entertain permanent or seasonal residents alike.
